Health & Wellness Coaching for Lifestyle Change
Do you have patients whose good health is dependent on making lifestyle changes. Changes that they have not been able to make by themselves?
As the desert's only fully licensed and certified Health and Wellness Coach, perhaps I can help you with those patients. I can help patients make those necessary lifestyle changes that you prescribe, including weight loss, exercise, nutrition, and stress management. Health Coaching is based on cognitive behavioral psychology and is specific to making lifestyle changes with a medically knowledgeable coach/partner .
My certification is endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine.
There are Wellcoaches now at Duke Integrative Medicine Program and at Mass General. The President of Wellcoaches, Margaret Moore, is the co-director of the Institute of Coaching at Harvard Medical School. With Dr. Edwin Phillips of Harvard, she co-hosts Harvard's annual "Coaching, Medicine and Leadership" Conference.
Wellness Coaching is specifically designed to helps patients make those important lifestyle changes while decreasing their health problems and health risks and decreasing the overall cost of their care. Patients who have been "coached" keep those changes longer and fully integrate them into their lives.
I would like to discuss Health and Wellness Coaching with you further and answer any questions you may have about this new, scientifically based method.
If you are interested, please have your receptionist contact me about an appointment to introduce myself and Wellness Coaching to you. I look forward to meeting you and discussing if I can supplement your own efforts in this challenging area of any medical practice.
Sincerely,
Nancy Laytham
